UNIVERSAL DEBRIS by Scott C. Kaestner

I wanted to write a poem
but instead

opened a portal to the universe
where I saw perceived truth
for the lie it really is

no destiny or divinity - only
infinite stars exploding in space
stardust floating randomly

in the vacuum of time
earth, sun and moon

no greater good other than
reflecting light

humanity, universal debris
given the gift of life.
