Eyes Closed by John Drudge

I looked down
At the scars
That were left
And was afraid of them
Afraid of my own skin
And the sight
Of sorrow
Scratched across
Every step
Of every other
Tomorrow
Falling in love
Once again
With our eyes
Closed
Like two birds
In a new cage
