Her By Walden Quinn Caesar

I stand before you now,

Silent, patient, waiting

New to you,

Yet more me

Than I've ever been

While you,

Look anywhere

But at me

Using your foot

To try and cover

The cracks

In a floor

You thought

Was solid

But I could

Always see

It breaking

Little pieces,

Flaking

Away

And I'm wondering

Now,

How

Can we move forward

When you won't

Even look

At me

Could you ever

Accept me

Knowing

I'll never be

Her

Again
