it is never easy By J.J. Campbell

it seems a few lifetimes

ago but there once was

this beautiful woman

that bought you a drink

in the bar one morning

after work

you were lost in flowery

language, hoping to impress

her and as usual the moment

passed

it is never easy to be yourself

when you have never met that

side of your soul

wading in dysfunction

the bottle is always cheaper

than therapy

no matter how expensive

they want to make

the good shit
